Oconee Center will be migrating our policies to PolicyStat away from packages PDF files. PolicyStat will allow us to find our policies online, keep us updated on policies that are becoming outdated, and allow us to submit policy edits for approval to our peers and through logical workflows.
PolicyStat can be found at https://oconeecenter.policystat.com
For employees that will be responsible for creating and maintaining policies, your username and password will be sent to you via email. If you require credentials, please speak with your supervisor and have them create a support ticket with information on what section\policies you will be in charge of reviewing.
After you log-in to PolicyStat you are taken to the “Home” screen. Notice the two yellow bars in the main area of the page. One is for policies that you are asked to review and approve, and the other is for policies that have expired and need to be replaced or updated. If you see a policy in the pending section, you can click it to edit or approve the changes.
Editing a Policy
If you aren’t already looking at a policy that you want to edit, you can find it using the search functions. You can search criteria such as Title, Owner, or Section, as indicated by the white tabs at the top of the page. The search bar functions similar to a google search, so, you don’t have to be exact.
When you have found the policy that you want to edit, you can click the title to view it. Near the top right corner, there is an edit button that will allow you to make changes to the policy. Note that not all staff can edit just any policy: if you see a policy that you should be able to edit, please speak with the policy section owner. For instance, staff responsible for Health and Safety cannot edit a policy in the Business Practices section.
After you have made changes to a policy, you can scroll down and either select Save or Pend for Approval. The Save button can save the edits as a draft to be viewed later. The Pend for Approval button submits the policy changes to you and your peers for approval and will eventually pass the policy on for approval by the CEO. Next to the Pend button there is a box to describe any changes made.
What if I want to Create a New Policy?
After clicking the “Home” tab, look over to the right. You will see a link for creating policies and another for “Drafts” which was discussed earlier. Again, after you write a policy you can choose to save it or have it await approval.
